Walk into a world of music! Apollo Elementary School is a special place for the arts! Sing, play, and create music using the student’s voices, bodies, and instruments. Music is a place of wonder and creativity!

Some of the activities we do in music class are playing music on Orff instruments (the barred instruments), the drums (called Tubanos), and various little sound effect instruments. Students as young as Kindergarten start playing instruments, and they play all the way up to 6th grade.

Apollo students also dance, sing, and react to music with various activities. A fan favorite is the games we play in music, which usually result in prizes for the winners!

Apollo Music is also home to three extra classes, giving 5th and 6th graders the opportunity to make even more music and perfect their craft. Apollo provides 5th and 6th graders string classes (violin, viola, cello, and bass). Students sign up to be a part of this special group, and it is always a resounding success and joy for the students. 5th and 6th grade students can also participate in chorus and Orff, where they learn music to sing and play for concerts.
