Heather Smith was born and raised here in Brevard County and graduated from Cocoa High School.  She taught Physics and Forensic Science at Bayside High School prior to being promoted to the Assistant Principal/Dean at Viera High School, where she was also promoted to the Assistant Principal of Curriculum position.  She received her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Central Florida, and she has earned Master’s degrees from the Florida Institute of Technology and the University of West Florida. Mrs. Smith enjoys spending time with her husband and three boys, reading, hiking, and SCUBA Diving.
