Dear Freedom 7 families,

I proudly joined the Freedom 7 family as principal in January 2019.  Communication and relationships are important to me and joining Freedom 7 to serve our teachers, students and their families will be the focus of my work.

We have tried to post all information that we believe you will find helpful, based on input from our school community. As an authorized IB Primary Years Program School, our philosophy, goals and curriculum are aligned to meet IB requirements. Over the past several years, Freedom 7 has celebrated exemplary student achievement and continue to rank at the top of our state, in overall academic performance. This success is due to the amazing commitment of our outstanding staff and exceptional support from parents and community members. It is with great honor and humility that I serve Freedom 7 Elementary schools’ students, teachers, families, staff, and community members, as your new Assistant Principal!  My passions are global learning, sustainability, diversity, and inclusion, all of which exemplifies characteristics of Freedom 7’s community.

I grew up in Erie Pennsylvania (Go Steelers!), where I earned a Bachelor of Science Degree from Slippery Rock University and a Master of Education Degree from Edinboro University. After several years of teaching exceptional students and working as an Exceptional Student Education Specialist, I earned an Educational Leadership Specialist Degree from Florida Atlantic University. I am married and have 1 child (Zoey) who is 11 years old. In my spare time, I enjoy working out via Peloton, reading, yoga, spending time with my family and playing with our new kitten (Koko­).

In addition to receiving Educational Leadership, Exceptional Student Education, Reading, ESOL Clinical Education Certifications, I have led educational teams in the following roles: Adjunct Professor, Clinical Supervision, STEM Coordinator, Teacher Mentor, Response to Intervention Chair, 504 and Title I Coordinator.

I look forward to building relationships with all of you and will serve diligently under Kathryn Lott’s leadership to ensure Freedom 7 continues to achieve excellence.
