Welcome Panthers to the Media Center! Here you can check out a book, research a project or explore and create using Makerspace materials. 

Our Media Center Staff:

Ms. Helen Blakeway, Media Specialist:

Ms. Blakeway has been a teacher at Roy Allen Elementary since 1997.  She was a classroom teacher in Kindergarten, 1st grade, and 3rd grade before moving to the position of Media Specialist in March 2021.  

Vision Statement:

The Roy Allen Media Center is filled with enthusiasm for reading and enjoying books of all genres!  Our mission is to encourage all students to become lifelong learners and successful users of information in a positive, student-centered learning environment. 

Lost or Damaged Materials: 
All library patrons are responsible for the materials they borrow and will be charged for lost or damaged items beyond repair.

Volunteers: 
We depend on volunteers to help us in our media center. Adult volunteers will need to register as a volunteer with the Brevard County Schools.  Student volunteers are selected by the media specialist and are trained in the media center.

Fundraisers:  
Our media center depends on book fairs and other fundraisers to help provide quality materials and programs to our students.  All profits go directly to the media center.
