MEET THE PRINCIPAL
Roosevelt Elementary
I am over the moon excited to be the principal of Roosevelt Elementary! I have had the pleasure to serve the students and parents of Brevard County for the last 25 years. Students, families, and staff are very close to my heart, I really enjoy what I do! 😊
I earned both my B.S. degree and master’s degree in Elementary Education from the University of Florida (Go Gators!). I also earned my specialist degree, towards my Doctorate, in Education Leadership from the University of Central Florida.
I began my teaching career at Freedom 7 Elementary in Cocoa Beach, Florida. I taught there for 12 years: kindergarten, 2nd, 3rd, and 6th grade. I was then appointed assistant principal at Oak Park Elementary in Titusville and then Ocean Breeze Elementary in Indian Harbour Beach.
During my career, I was awarded Teacher of the Year, became a Nationally Board Certified Teacher, and was an Ambassador for the Teaching Exchange Program in Italy for 3 months.
In the summertime, for 6 years, I enjoyed working with various companies at NASA. Keeping busy over the summer, I was able to learn some valuable technology skills that assist me in my everyday duties as an administrator. I was also rewarded with 2 trips aboard Zero G Weightless Flights out of Kennedy Space Center, an amazing experience that I love to share with the students.
I am looking forward to providing an innovative and positive learning experience for your child. I welcome your input and can't wait to meet each of you!!!
