The Sunshine State Young Readers' Award (SSYRA), a statewide program for grades 3-8, promotes independent reading, fluency, and diverse literary exploration with selected books.

The book club meets once a week and discusses the books they have read. During the month of April the team goes to another school and competes with other schools on book topics.

Cape View Elementary Music Club includes Chorus, Strings and Drums. The club has two concerts during the year.

Odyssey of the Mind is a problem-solving competition for children in grades K – 12.  It consists of a team of up to 7 children who use their creative talents.

Cape View’s 5th and 6th grade students are invited to join our afterschool Destination Mars Team. The Team focus on a Mission to Mars that will include engineering designs.
