What is ESOL all about? / ¿Qué significa ESOL?

ESOL is an acronym.  It stands for:
English Speakers of Other Languages
The ESOL program provides for understandable instruction while the curriculum content in Language Arts and the basic subject areas remain the same as they are for fluent English speakers.  The primary means of providing understandable instruction is through the use of ESOL strategies. 

ESOL es un acrónimo. Se destaca:
English S peakers of  O ther Languages   (Los que hablan inglés y otros Idiomas)
El programa ESOL ofrece para la enseñanza comprensible, mientras que el contenido del currículo en lengua y literatura y los temas básicos siguen siendo los mismos que son para dominan el Inglés. El principal medio de proporcionar la instrucción es comprensible a través del uso de las estrategias ESOL.
