  • Chairs for Charity Art History

Art history study of Ancient Greece, Renaissance, Early American, Impressionist, Modern. Groups of students studied different eras and the aspects of the period. Then individually the students selected an artist of their time, researched him/her, then created an original piece using the same media and added their research to their art. Finally, in pairs, students recreated an original painting onto a chair but changed the human into a dog or cat. The classroom was turned into a museum for parent night selling the chairs in a silent auction with the funds donated to the Canine Commandos.
