Mrs. Deanna Smith

Principal

My name is Mrs. Deanna Smith and I am excited to share that I have been appointed Principal of Meadowlane Primary Elementary School beginning this upcoming 202-2024 school year.  I am both proud and honored to serve our school family and the West Melbourne community.

I am happily married to my husband Brian and together we have two amazing children, Landon and Sofia.  Landon is eleven years old and will be entering sixth grade this coming school year. Sofia is nine years old and will be entering fourth grade this coming school year.  We enjoy spending time together as a family and spend many evenings and weekends at the soccer fields for Landon and on the 4-H farm with Sofia.

I come to Meadowlane with sixteen years of experience, twelve of those years in Brevard.  I have spent the last four years serving as Assistant Principal at Enterprise Elementary School.  Prior to that, I was the Literacy Coach at Turner Elementary School and taught at Riviera Elementary School.  Education has always been a priority for me.  I have a passion for making learning fun and ensuring success for all students.

As I look forward to the 2024-2025 school year, I cannot wait to meet all the students, families, and community members that are pivotal to Meadowlane’s success. If there is anything I can do to support you, please reach out.  I hope everyone is enjoying their remaining days of summer.  We are working hard at school to prepare for an incredible school year.  We will see you all very soon!

Mrs. Jessica Mowery

Assistant Principal

My name is Mrs. Jessica Mowery, and I am the proud Assistant Principal of Meadowlane Primary Elementary.  I am honored to serve the Meadowlane school family and community of West Melbourne.

My family and I currently reside in Palm Bay. My husband, Jon, and I are parents to four wonderful children: Meaghan, Allyson, Daniel, and Emma. Our oldest daughter, Meaghan, is a Pre-K educator in Pennsylvania.  Allyson recently graduated from Bayside High School.  Daniel attends Heritage High School, and Emma is starting her middle school career at Central. We enjoy spending our time together as a family and enjoy taking part in all that Brevard
County has to offer.

Throughout my career, I have worked as a Pre-K, Kindergarten, and First Grade teacher.  More recently, I have worked as a K-2 Instructional Coach at Fellsmere Elementary.  I am proud of the educational experiences that I have had and know that they have prepared me well to serve as your Assistant Principal.  Most importantly, I am excited to be working in Brevard County, to be able to give back to the community that has served my children and family with excellence.

I am excited to begin the upcoming school year, and look forward to welcoming back the students, families, and community members that contribute to the success of Meadowlane Primary.  Please do not hesitate to reach out and let me know how I can support you in your child’s educational journey.  I am confident we are going to have a great 2024-2025 school
year, galloping together, as Meadowlane Primary Mustangs!
