Overview

About Our School

Sea Park Elementary School is located in the beautiful beachside community of South Patrick Shores in Satellite Beach, Florida.   Sea Park opened its doors in April 1959.  Our wonderful school has been a part of this community for over 60 years.   Many of our students are second generation Sea Park students as their parents attended this small community school as well.

Sea Park has been an “A” rated school for over 15 years!  We are very proud of the school’s achievements.   Currently, we are the third smallest public school in Brevard County.  With less than 400 students, Sea Park truly has a small community school atmosphere.  The students, faculty, staff, and parents take great pride in our “little” school and consider it to be one of “The Best Kept Secrets on the Beach”.

Our school offers many great after-school activities for our students.  Students have the opportunity to participate in Chorus, Strings/Orchestra, Safety Patrol, National Elementary Honor Society.   All our students participate in our school garden, where they learn about healthy eating habits, learn gardening ability, and assist in beautifying our school grounds.

We also have a very active PTO (Parent/Teacher Organization).  Each year we have our Fall Family Fun Night, ASE (After School Enrichment) events, a Winter Wonderland Dance for grades 3-6, Walk-a-thon, and many other fun events. The PTO collaborates with school personnel on a variety of projects that directly impact the school community and student achievement.  They have worked diligently to assist in adding some of the beautiful murals around the campus, purchased educational programs/materials, contributed to the school’s landscaping and beautification and much more.

Although Sea Park Elementary School is over 60 years old, we are determined to get better with age. This year, we were awarded the Florida Power Media Award. Our sixth grade students are part of a pilot program called ICT Fundamentals.  This gives them a complete foundational understanding of digital literacy. Students receive certifications that verify they have the skills necessary to master a technology-driven world. Sea Park leads the beach schools with our Science scores in fifth grade. Additionally, our students won five awards at the South Regional Science Fair.

Sea Park offers a Voluntary Prekindergarten Program and a Pre-k VE program. Their playground was just renovated.  Additionally, we serve our Gifted and Talented students and almost 100% of staff are Reading Endorsed. We received the FAME Award in 2023. We are also the proud recipient of the 2016 and 2017 Florida Odyssey of the Mind 1st place winners in their division, and the 2017 Odyssey of The Mind World Champions.   Our Sea Park “Stars” continue to shine in many ways across the community.  Our teachers, parents, staff, and administrators continue to work to ensure a safe and respectful educational learning environment for all our students.
