Brevard Adult and Community Education offers Lifelong/Community Learning courses for those who want to enhance their knowledge just for enjoyment.

2024-2025 Lifelong/Community Learning Class Offerings

Bloomboard Paraprofessional Course: 
Dates: Starting August 13th (17 Weeks)
Cost: $31.50

Our Bloomboard Paraprofessional course gives you the tools you need to be an impactful and effective Instructional Assistant/Paraprofessional in the Brevard County School system. Be a difference maker in the classroom!  *This class is for those interested in working as an instructional assistant who do not have a 2-year degree.  
The ParaPro Assessment measures the skills and knowledge in reading, writing and math possessed by prospective and practicing paraprofessionals/instructional assistants. It also measures their ability to apply those skills and knowledge when assisting in classroom instruction.  
Brevard Public Schools is looking for Instructional Assistants and we have the training to get you started! Positions all over Brevard starting at $15/hr. 

Cocoa Campus - 12:30- 3:30pm

Melbourne Campus- 5:30-8:30pm

Basic Computer Skills:

Dates: Starts August 12 (4 Weeks Course)

Time: 2:30-4:30pm (Monday and Wednesday)

Location: Cocoa Campus

The course consists of an introduction to basic vocabulary and terminology related to computers, word processing, Microsoft Word, the Internet, web search and email.

Ceramics Class:

Location: Rockledge High School

Tuesdays & Thursday - 5:30-8:30pm

Session 1 - 5 Weeks

Cost $188.00 (includes supplies)

Dates: 9/24/24- 10/24

Session 2: 4 Weeks

Cost: $150 (includes supplies)

Location:  Rockledge High School

Dates: 10/29-11/21

This clay class will show you different techniques. We are going to create a variety of different projects of your choice. We will build, glaze and finalize all projects as you go.
