Mrs. Tara MacPherson

Assistant Principal

I am honored to introduce myself as the new Assistant Principal at Croton Elementary.  I recently moved from Colorado and this will be my 3rd year with Brevard Public schools.  I just wrapped up my 8th year as an educator and I have taught multiple grade levels, was an Exceptional Education teacher for grades K-8, and I have been the Title 1 Coordinator at my previous schools. I received my Bachelor’s degree in Speech Pathology, then went on to obtain my Elementary Education certification, I also have a Master’s degree in Special Education, and a Master’s degree in Educational Leadership.

I believe that students should always come first and developing relationships with the students, their families, and the Croton staff is my main priority.  I want to empower every student to succeed, and I believe that every student can learn and grow if we meet them where they are and give them the resources and tools that they need.

I am so excited to join Croton Elementary and serve EVERY student with excellence as a standard and empower all students to succeed. I look forward to the upcoming school year and having the opportunity to work together with Croton families, students, staff, and the community members.  I feel that communication is so important between school and home and I cannot wait to work alongside families in this partnership.
