Transition Steps:
Croton's student led transition program assists new military students entering our school. The team includes a Transition Team Coordinator and is peer supported, they help link our new military students with others at our school within days of arrival. They also help familiarize our new students with our campus, routines, school procedures, and upcoming events and activities.
1. Register and enroll at school of choice.
2. Identify as Active Military Duty.
3. Set up conference with principal and classroom teacher(s).
4. Military students are taken on a student-led tour of Croton Elementary.
5. Croton Elementary Website/Military Families Webpage and supports shared with new families.
Academic Planning for Military Families
Information regarding academic standards and opportunities, graduation requirements, DE and AP course offerings, applicable CTE programs, etc. for Brevard Public schools can be found in the Student Progression Plan on the BPS Curriculum and Instruction website.
