String instrument instruction is given twice a week on violin, viola, cello and double bass. Students meet before school at 7:20 in the morning. Our strings consultant is Sylvia Cisneros, the orchestra teacher at Cocoa Jr/Sr High School. The Beginning Level is available to all 5th grade students and the Intermediate Level is available to 6th grade students who satisfactorily completed the Beginning Level or who can satisfy the necessary performance standards to qualify for this class. Typically there are two concerts in the school year, December and April.

Instruments are available to rent at $25 per semester.

Students are eligible to audition for the Elementary Music Festival held in February at the King Center. Please contact the Music Teacher for additional information.
