On Friday, November 12th at Satellite High School, Brevard Public Schools held its annual Innovation Games, a STEM competition open to students in 4th through 12th grades attending a Brevard County public, private, or charter school.
Students competed in underwater robotics (SeaPerch), coding challenges, recreational class drone racing, solar sprint car races, “Shark Tank” style competitions, and school promotional video competitions.
Students attending the Innovation Games not only competed in STEM challenges and cheered on their peers, but also had the opportunity to participate in escape challenges, a question and answer “Ask an Engineer” session, and explore the Innovation Playground which included various activities such as slime making, building robots, and a virtual reality experience, to name a few. The Innovation Games culminated with an awards ceremony to recognize the participants’ achievements. Brevard Public School Superintendent Dr. Mark Mullins proudly assisted in awarding and congratulating the day’s winners.
