Communication

Christa McAuliffe Elementary uses a variety of ways to communication with our families:

FOCUS messaging - FOCUS messaging is the most widely used form of communication at our school. Important information, reminders, upcoming events, and more are always sent out via FOCUS messaging. If you do not currently receive messages this way please contact the office at (321)768-0465.

FOCUS text messages - Important messages concerning Severe Weather, dismissal, reminders, cancellations, etc. are also sent out via text messages. If you do not currently receive text messages, contact the office so they can opt you in to messages. We do not send a large volume of texts out, just for important information.

Synnervoice Phone message system - Mrs. Finsted sends messages out regarding important events, etc.. This message system is also used to send out emergency information and changes. If you do not currently receive these voice messages, contact the office at (321)768-0465.

Paper and pen - Paper is still an important form of communication, as some communication MUST still be done in writing; such as changing the way your child goes home. Changing the way your child goes home can not be done via phone call, text, email or communication app. It must done in writing due the the Jessica Lundsford Act. It must contain the signature of the legal parent/guardian, a date and the child's first and last name. For more information about making these changes, please visit here: Making changes to a student's transportation Scroll down the page.

Some teachers choose to use a variety of communication apps, such as ClassDojo, Remind, etc. You will need to contact your child's teacher to find out if they use an app, which one it is and how to connect to it.
