MIHS is thrilled to announce its highly anticipated Homecoming Week 2024, a week-long celebration filled with spirited events and activities designed to bring together students, faculty, and the community. The festivities will take place from Friday, October 18, 2024, to Saturday, October 26th, 2024, and promise to be a memorable experience for all.

Thursday – October 24th Homecoming Parade and Stampede

The ‘Stang STAMPEDE! This outdoor pep rally at the stadium promises to be an exciting event. The parade will kick off at the bus loop on the east side of the school, making its way up Mustang Way, heading north on Courtenay Parkway, and then turning east at Wells Fargo. All community  

The Stampede will showcase our football team, cheerleaders, dancers, and the band. One of the highlights will be the traditional powderpuff touch football game between the junior and senior girls, with some very special cheerleaders adding to the fun and excitement. 

After the parade, stick around for the bonfire, a perfect way to cap off the evening. Don’t forget to grab a delicious Chick-fil-A chicken sandwich dinner, available for purchase at the Stampede. 

 

Homecoming Week is a cherished tradition at MIHS, and we look forward to seeing everyone participate and make lasting memories. Join us for a night of school spirit, fun, and community! 

 

 

Saturday, October 26th is the Homecoming DANCE 

Students wishing to attend the dance will need to pay special attention to these details: 

  • All students will be required to check their name on the monies owed list and attendance/tardy “No-Go” list.   

  • Once students clear that, they will need to turn in their signed permission slip.   

  • After these tasks are complete they will then be able to purchase their Homecoming ticket for $45.00 until October 22nd.  Late tickets will be on sale on October 23rd ONLY for $50.00 

  • Students can pay with cash, check (made out to MIHS) or credit card if they have the credit card with them at school.  

The monies owed list and permission slips will be available during lunches on October 2nd, 3rd, and 4th during BOTH lunches.  Permission slips for the dance are also available in the front office and online. 

Important information about the dance: 

No admittance after 8:30 pm. Tickets are not transferable and not available at the door.   

All students will be searched for illicit items upon entrance to the dance. Rented transportation vehicles (bus, limousines, etc.) that transport students will be searched prior to students entering the dance. Any violations of the code of conduct will result in school based disciplinary action.
