Mission – To inspire and equip students with the knowledge, skills, and passion necessary to pursue successful careers in aviation and aerospace. We strive to create a dynamic learning environment that fosters innovation, critical thinking, and hands-on experiences.
Students in the AFEX Academy will have their schedule include the required courses for their 4 years of high school, including:
· 9th Grade – Introduction to Space
· 10th Grade – Astronautics, Data Analysis and Space Exploration
· 11th Grade – Aerospace Design, Modeling, and Simulation
· 12th Grade – Space System Design OR Dual Enrollment in the realm of Aerospace or Aviation.
Participants in the AFEX Academy will have to maintain a “C” average in their current AFEX courses and participate in industry certification assessments to maintain their placement in the Academy. Prior to removal, placement meetings will occur with the AFEX teacher to help support progress in the courses.
