Transcripts are typically considered OFFICIAL if they are signed by a school official, sealed in an envelope, and mailed directly to a school. All other versions are typically considered UNOFFICIAL. Some schools have made exceptions to this, and will outline what they will accept as official. It is the student's responsibility to check with their post-secondary institution for what they consider to be official.
Colleges and universities will request transcripts from students upon applying to the school, may ask for a mid-year transcript to check first semester of Senior year grades, and then all will request an OFFICIAL, FINAL transcript upon the student accepting the seat at that school.
Official, final transcripts are important for students to send to their selected university or college. They are not ready to be finalized and sent until the middle of the summer after graduation. Requests for final transcripts can be made prior to graduation, and once transcripts are available for pick up, students and parents can come in to pick them up.
To order transcripts, please: complete the Transcript Request Form. You can email or drop the form off at the Guidance office to the clerk/registrar at the main desk. Forms are also readily available in Guidance at the main desk.
The clerk/registrar's email is: Keyes.Lisa@BrevardSchools.org
The cost for each electronic or paper transcript is $2.00, cash or check only.
You can pay when you drop off the form or when you pick up the transcripts IF not electronic.
There is up to a 48-hour processing period for a paper copy.
The electronic transcript may take up to two weeks to process. It is the student's responsibility to verify that the electronic transcript has been received.
Per District policy, and the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) school records will not be released without parent/guardian consent. If students are 18 years of age or older, records will not be released to a parent/guardian without the student’s written consent.
