For just $5, students not only receive homework assistance but also a ticket to the game, making it an unbeatable deal for students!

Purpose of the Program

The Homework Tailgate Party aims to provide students with a supportive environment to tackle their schoolwork while fostering a sense of school pride. By combining learning with the excitement of a game day, the program encourages students to see completing assignments as both enjoyable and rewarding.

Open to 7th and 8th graders, the Homework Tailgate Party invites anyone in need of academic help. Teacher volunteers and other staff stay after school to provide the academic support and work to build positive relationships with students as well. The students receive snacks and thee atmosphere is lively, reflecting the excitement of the upcoming game.

The Homework Tailgate Party takes place in the school cafe before every home game. This allows for students to have a safe space prior to the start of the game. School ends at 4:15 p.m. but the games starts at 5:30 p.m. This is an hour and 15 minutes hours of time that parents can feel rest assured their students are supervised and being productive.

For just $5, students can secure their spot at the Homework Tailgate Party, which includes their ticket to the game. Students sign up during lunch by paying the $5 and turning in a parent signed permission slip.

The Bronco Homework Tailgate Party was a hit and we plan to continue the program through the soccer season as well. Soccer starts October 28th and our first home soccer game is November 7th.
