Dear Tropical Families,

I am thrilled to be at Tropical!    I am originally from West Virginia, but I have lived in Florida for over 35 years.  I have been with Brevard Public Schools for 27 years.

I started my career at Hoover Middle School as a Math and ESE teacher.  I went to Satellite High as the Assistant Principal of Discipline and then back to Hoover as the Assistant Principal of Curriculum.  From there, I moved to Edgewood as the Assistant Principal of Curriculum and finally to West Melbourne Elementary School for Science as the principal.  I have ten years experience as an assistant principal and ten years as a principal.

On a personal note, I have two grown children and six grandchildren.  I have moved to the area, and I am happy to be working back on the island.  My two priorities are safety and instruction.  I firmly believe that safety is number one and protecting instructional time is number two.

Please stop by, say hello and introduce yourself.  I am proud to be part of the Tropical team and look forward to meeting you and your children!  It’s going to be a great year!

Sincerely,

Neleffra A. Marshall, Ed.D

Hello Tropical Families,

I am so excited to be the NEW Assistant Principal of Tropical. I was born in New York but moved to Florida in the last two months of sixth grade at the age of 12. I attended Surfside Elementary, DeLaura Middle School and Satellite High School. I received my bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from The University of Central Florida and my master’s in educational leadership at Grand Canyon University.

I began my teaching career at Campus Charter School in PSJ where I taught a multi-age class. Then, I moved to Stevenson Elementary School where I worked as a first-grade teacher for 8 years. I was the first-grade team lead and involved in numerous leadership endeavors. After Stevenson, I moved to Tropical Elementary School where I taught first grade for one year. This is when I realized I was interested in pursuing Educational Leadership. I became a Literacy Coach and moved to Golfview Elementary School where I was their coach for 3 years. Following Golfview, I moved to Challenger 7 Elementary to be their Literacy Coach. After serving as a Literacy Coach for 4 years, I was ready for another leadership experience. I became the ESOL Contact at Endeavour Elementary School and then moved up to Guidance Services Professional the following year.

I have two beautiful daughters that both attend high school at Edgewood Junior Senior High School. My youngest daughter attended Tropical Elementary from 2nd to 6th grade. I’m a lover of animals. I have two dogs and three cats. We reside in Merritt Island and I’m ecstatic to return to Tropical Elementary. On my days off I enjoy camping, resort life, and quality family time.

I am thrilled to serve as the Assistant Principal of Tropical and be a part of the Tropical community. I look forward to working with all teachers, staff, families, and students of Tropical. Please feel free to stop by and introduce yourself. I’m looking forward to a fabulous 2024-2025 school year!

Sincerely,

Christine Snow
