Tropical has a Primary (K-3) Varying Exceptionalities (VE)self-contained classroom that also focuses on communication and has a sensory area. We also have Intermediate (4-6) VE self-contained classroom. Both classes strive to include students in general education classes as much as possible. In addition to the self-contained classrooms, Tropical also has two resource ESE teachers that provide services to the ESE students in the general education classroom.
When enrolling:
At enrollment, parents inform the school that their child has ESE services.
At enrollment, parents inform the school they would like to know about ESE services because of concerns about social-emotional and/or academic development of their child.
