Welcome to Tropical Elementary's student registration page. 

Kindergarten Enrollment & All new to BPS Students for the 2024-2025 School year.

New to BPS students who will attend their zoned school, please click on the link below. Choice students new to BPS must use paper enrollment forms. Pick up a packet from the front office.

Parent Guide to New Online Enrollment

Items needed for school enrollment:

• Original birth certificate or acceptable evident/documentation

Children entering kindergarten for the first time must comply with Florida Statue 1003.21 regarding age, which states a child must be five years old on or before September 1

Welcome to Kindergarten

• Compulsory immunizations records

• Current physical exam - completed no less than 12 months prior to the child's school entry date.

• Two forms of residence verification - Proof of residence will include one from each of the following tiers:
TIER 1

  • A current driver's license (F.S.322.19(2) requires that you update your address information on your driver's license within ten (10) days of moving.

  • A current Purchase Contract with expected closing date within 90 days of school or warranty/deed.

  • A lease/Rental Agreement with your name as the renter.

TIER 2

  • Current utility statement within the last 30-45 days.

  • Current Florida Voter Registration Card.

  • Current Florida Vehicle Registration or Title.

  • A utility hookup or work order dated within 60 days.

  • Medical or health card with current address listed.

  • Current homeowner's insurance policy or bill.

  • Current automobile insurance policy or bill.

Re-Enrollment for returning Tropical Elementary students via FOCUS begins July 8, 2024.

Please ensure you have an active Parent FOCUS account.

The Annual Re-enrollment form will be available on July 8, 2024, and must be completed before registration day on August 7, 2024. Beginning, July 8th, please access the Annual Re-enrollment packet on your FOCUS portal under your child’s name in the form’s summary section.

These past few months we have been communicating changes that have been made to our Annual Re-enrollment process which includes a more user-friendly application. Below you will find some of these changes.

  • Simplified and condensed the amount of information being collected while ensuring that critical information is embedded in one process.

  • Pre-populated information on sections that have already been provided to the District.

  • Eliminated the need of two proofs of residence verification.

  • Modified language to make it more parent friendly.

  • Reduced signatures from 11 to ONLY 1!
