CBHS is looking for gift basket donations for our annual holiday party. Last year we received over 20 and would love to to award even more this year. The baskets can be any theme: spa, coffee, beach and pet are just a few ideas. If you, your business, church or group would like to donate your baskets can be dropped off in our front office. We greatly appreciate the generosity of our Cocoa Beach community.
Today at 11am Mainley Lobster will be handing out FREE turkeys to residences in need.
It's easy, you drive thru and pick up a (10-12 lbs) turkey. One per car please. If someone you know can't drive let them know and a turkey will be delivered. Happy Thanksgiving!!

Minutemen! Cocoa Beach Jr/Sr High School is excited to have been selected as the location for a district wide college fair! The evening will begin in the Performing Arts Center with an overview of the college applications process. The fair will feature over 60 colleges, universities, and military academies such as the University of Florida, Florida State University, WestPoint, and many more from all over the country. We encourage you to save the date and come spend some time getting to know these amazing institutions.
Date: Monday, Sept 1th Time: 5-7pm
Open house will be held tomorrow night (Thur, Aug 29th) from 5-7pm. Please join us in the Performing Arts Center (PAC) at 5pm to start. Don't miss out on this opportunity to see our beautiful campus and meet our wonderful staff/faculty.
ELA progress monitoring for grades 7-10 is tomorrow morning. A good night sleep, a healthy breakfast and being on time is great way to start the day.
ELA & Math PM1 Testing
The FAST ELA PM1 test will be Tuesday, August 27th, and is for all students in grades 7-10.
The FAST Math PM1 exam is Wednesday, August 28th, and is for students in grades 7 and 8 who are taking either Middle School Grade 7 Math or Middle School MYP Math 2 with Ms. Masters, or Middle School Grade 8 Pre-Algebra with Coach Romito. 7th and 8th graders who are taking either Algebra 1 or Geometry do not take PM exams.
Students, your ELA PM1 and Math PM1 testing locations will be posted on the bulletin boards outside the Media Center and the testing office in Building 15.
The results you get on every PM exam is carefully analyzed and used to make important decisions for your academic path – make sure to give these exams your effort!

First day of school is Monday, August 12th. It's going to be a great day at The Beach.
Our Minutemen Muster (Registration) is quickly approaching! On Tuesday, August 6, families will come to school to sign up for buses, pay school fees, get lockers, and receive their student's schedule. We will have our full staff here and available to serve your registration needs!
You will need to bring cash or your checkbook for the school fees and if you choose to rent a locker. Please see the schedule below for when you should arrive:
7th -- 9th Grade: 8:00 a.m. to Noon
10th -- 12th Grade: Noon to 4:00 p.m.
CBHS Program Showcase Tuesday, Aug 6th 6:00 p.m. -- 8:00 p.m. We will start in the theater and then head to the main campus to meet our athletic coaches and club sponsors as you please. This is a great way to learn about all of the amazing extracurricular opportunities at The Beach!
