Coding Fundamentals
In this engaging and dynamic course, students will embark on an exciting journey into the world of coding and computer science. Designed to cultivate a solid foundation in computational thinking and problem-solving skills, students will learn the fundamental concepts of the Python coding language. Through hands-on projects, interactive exercises, and collaborative activities, they will develop the ability to design, build, and debug programs, fostering creativity and logical reasoning. By exploring real-world applications and examples, students will gain a deeper understanding of how coding shapes our modern world.
This class aims to equip students with essential skills to navigate the digital age confidently while nurturing a passion for innovation and technology. Additionally, students will learn to code Python within the Minecraft world and have the opportunity to become Python Coding Assistant (PCA) certified by taking the exam from Knowledge Pillars. They will also work with iRobot Root robots and micro:bit for hands-on, interactive Python robot programming, making the experience even more comprehensive and engaging.
