EPO - Educational Program Opportunity - Out of area students can apply to a program at Melbourne High School. 

• Melbourne High School offers two types of choice programs:

  1. International Baccalaureate Diploma Program (IB-DP) - application required for zoned and out of area students. 

  2. Career and Technical Education - application required for out of area students only. Choose a career path from the list below
     

     • Applied Engineering

     • Building Construction

     • Culinary Arts

     • Cyber Security

     • Digital Design

     • Emergency Medical Responder

     • International Business

     • Patient Care Assistant
       

       • out of area students applying to any of the above career paths will be admitted to Melbourne High School may request admission to the IB Career Program once enrolled at Melbourne High School

General Instructions about the Application Process

• Starting January 10th click on the blue Family Dashboard tile and create a Family Dashboard account

  • Create parent information first, then log back in and create your student's information - this will lead to the program application

• A $30 non-refundable application fee is charged for each application completed for a school to which the student is not zoned

• Application status will be communicated through the Family Dashboard

• All EPO applications must be renewed annually

Jan 10 - Feb 28: Secondary ELO/EPO - NEW & RENEWAL Applications Open for Grades 7 - 12

March 11: Lottery held for Secondary Schools

March 21-25: ELO/EPO Notification Released on the Family Dashboard

April 8: Deadline to accept/decline seat for Secondary ELO/EPO

April 11 - July 20: Choice Schools & Secondary ELO/EPO - Waitlist Application Opens

July 27 - Last day for schools to offer seats from waitlist
