College Readiness Checklist

Start filling out your college admissions application. (Check your college admission page to see what they require admission to their school.) 

1. College admission page. (which application would you use)

2. Common App  Applying to colleges

  • Application guide for first-year students (commonapp.org)  Common App Step-by-Step Guide that walks students step-by-step through each question of the Common Application, including why it’s asked and how to best answer.                                                                                      

3. Self-Reported Student Academic Record

4.  Florida Financial Aid Application (FFAA) for Florida Bright Futures and other State Scholarships and Grant Programs.  The FFAA is only completed once. 

5. Create FSA ID - Student

6. Create FSA ID  - Parent 

7. Once you receive your FSA ID, then complete your FAFSA. The FAFSA is renewed every year.
