Potential Early Childhood High School Students:
Interested in helping four-year-olds prepare for Kindergarten? Considering a career in early childhood education or a career that involves working with children outside of the classroom such as counseling, pediatrics, speech therapy, etc? This may be the class for you!
Work and play with VPK students.
Write and implement lesson plans for small groups biweekly.
CPR certification is available during your 3rd year.
Earn your CDA certification and 12 college credit hours!

Potential VPK Parents/Students:
The VPK children enrolled in the Viera Hawk’s Nest Program experience the unique opportunity to learn from a variety of student-teachers throughout their day. Working under the supervision of the classroom teacher, Michelle Zeppieri, and the instructional assistant, Petra Howe, the student teachers plan and implement age-appropriate math, language arts, science, social studies, arts, fine & gross motor lessons daily. All lessons are based on the Florida Early Learning and Developmental Standards. With so many teachers working at one time our VPK students benefit from one-on-one, or very small groups of 2 or 3, throughout their entire day!
Important Information:
This program is entirely free and available to anyone in Brevard County.
Breakfast is free for all littles.
School lunch is available and can be paid through: Cafeteria Lunch Account.

Classroom Hours:
NO VPK ON MONDAYS
8:55-2:25 Tuesday – Thursday
8:55-1:25 Friday
Eligibility Requirements:
VPK students must turn 4 by September 1st of enrollment year.
VPK Students must be fully potty trained prior to enrollment.
