Dual Enrollment
--The purpose of Dual Enrollment at Eastern Florida State College is for students to start taking college courses and earning college credits towards their Associate in Arts (AA) degree, which are the courses taken during the first two years of college.
--Dual Enrollment at Eastern Florida State College is for 10th, 11th, and 12th grade students.
--Students in the 9th grade will be invited to start dual enrollment for 10th grade during their 9th grade spring semester if they meet the requirements via an invitation.
--Students in 10th, 11th, and 12th grade should meet with their assigned counselor to see if they are eligible to begin.
--If the student wishes to begin dual enrollment in a summer or fall semester, the online EFSC application must be completed by March 1st. The online orientation, sending a transcript, passing the PERT, and meeting with the EFSC advisor must be completed by March 10th. Lastly, meeting with Ms. Cochran must be done by April 1st.
--If a student wishes to begin dual enrollment in a spring semester, the online EFSC application must be completed by October 1st. The online orientation, sending a transcript, passing the PERT, and meeting with the EFSC advisor must be completed by October 10th. Lastly, meeting with Ms. Cochran must be done by November 1st.
--Students that meet Dual Enrollment eligibility requirements are able to apply during the spring time of their junior year for Early Admissions Dual Enrollment to do during their senior year of high school, which is where they go full-time to Eastern Florida, and take no classes at Heritage or FLVS. Students may apply to do this even if they've never done dual enrollment before their senior year.
