Come join us on tonight for Stone's away basketball game against DeLaura. Boys play first at 5:30pm followed by the Girls at 7:00pm. Tickets are $5 for adults and $3 for students. As a reminder, students must have their ID badge on and visible and must have an adult with them to enter them game. That adult must stay with them the entire time.
We’re halfway through “Show Up September” and your commitment to showing up is making a difference! Keep building those strong habits: every day in class is a step toward success. Stay consistent. Stay motivated. Stay all in for attendance. Here is an attendance fact… Chronic absence — missing 10 percent or more of school days due to absence for any reason—excused, unexcused absences and suspensions, can translate into students that have difficulty learning to read by the third grade, achieving in middle school, and graduating from high school.

FAST Track Saturday School begins September 13. The hours are from 8:30-11:30! Stone's FAST Track to Success Saturday is now offering free and personalized academic support in math, ELA, history/civics, and science. Spend time engaging in our hands-on FAST lessons and spend some time on makeup work, getting homework help, and utilizing computer access to assist your academic needs. Ms. Campbell leads with class and a supporting hand. She is constantly connecting with her students, parents and those around her. You will often see Ms. Campbell at all the sporting events cheering on our kids and showing true Gopher pride. She is a great example of a dedicated teacher and has her students trained that they were scared to clap and make too much noise because they know Ms. Campbell needs focus to be successful!
Coach Chris has made an impact in so many unique ways on campus. In my time here, he has been a team player, subbing and supporting students. If you ever need to find Coach Chris, you can find him mentoring students. He has a special way to connect with all of those around him. The students truly look for Coach Chris for guidance. Many times, students tell me they need to talk to him because he gives the best advice. He holds his basketball team to high standards and looks for ways to build a culture of having Gopher Pride!!

We are writing to inform you of rumors that have spread of a potential threat to tonight’s Southwest vs. Stone basketball game. Out of an abundance of caution, we have decided to cancel tonight's game while police continue their investigation.
The well-being of our students is our highest priority. We take every rumor seriously and will continue to communicate transparently with our families.

Stone is looking for donations to help stock their Positive Behavior Intervention Strategies SWAG store. Students get rewarded with points for making good choices and then use those points to "purchase" items from the PBIS SWAG store. See attached image for ideas of the types of items we could use. Our Stone Culinary teacher, Ms. Scohera, organized a classic crime scene who done it for her students on Wednesday. Students observed a culinary crime scene and then had to write their version of what happened.
Free before and after school Academic Access and Tutoring will begin Monday, September 8. Morning tutoring is in the media center on Mondays, Tuesday, Thursday and Fridays from 7:30-8:30am. Afternoon tutoring is in room 405 on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 4:30-5:30pm. See attached flyers for details.
