Stevenson Families,
Happy Friday! We’ve had an exciting week at school, and I wanted to share some highlights and important upcoming events with you.
Out of Uniform Sports Theme Day was a huge success! It was wonderful to see so many students and staff showing off their favorite team today. It was also great to see our families at the Volunteer meeting and Food Truck event. We sure have a great community!
Looking ahead, please note that K-2 grade students will be taking the state assessment on Tuesday and Wednesday of next week. It’s important for our young learners to get a good night’s sleep and a healthy breakfast on these days.
Mr. DeVries will be hosting an Odyssey of the Mind informational meeting on Wednesday at 5 PM in the media center. This is a great opportunity for students interested in creative problem-solving and teamwork to learn more about this exciting program.
Science fair boards are now available for purchase. We are asking, for uniformity purposes, that all boards be purchased through the school. Please click here to make your purchase. (If you are working with a partner, only one board will be needed for display). The deadline to order your board will be on Monday, September 23rd to ensure that all boards will arrive and be sent home in plenty of time.
Our Read-a-thon will be ending next Friday. Let’s see which class will win the pizza luncheon for the most funds collected. Currently, Mrs. Poker’s class is in the lead, but there’s still time for other classes to catch up!
Lastly, don’t forget to assist with the car loop. Sign-up here. By helping out, you can earn yourself “fast passes” that allow you to completely skip the car loop at dismissal and you can pick the days you wish to use them. If that’s not an incentive, I don’t know what is!
That's it for this week. Thank you for your continued support and involvement in our school community. Have a wonderful weekend!
Sincerely,
Mrs. Fleeger
