Stevenson Families,
What an incredible first week back after winter break! Our students returned with enthusiasm and were deeply engaged in their learning. It was wonderful to see their excitement and dedication.
Today's Donuts with Deputies event was a huge success! Students and parents had a fantastic time playing games with our BCSO deputies and even enjoyed a little fetch with Maverick, the K9 officer. We can't thank our officers enough for the service they provide to our community. A huge shout out to Krispy Kreme in Melbourne and Dunkin Donuts in Merritt Island for their generous support of the event.
We also want to extend our heartfelt thanks to all the families who attended this morning's volunteer meeting. Your involvement and partnership are crucial to providing the amazing educational experience we strive for every day.
I do need to ask for your help regarding the district's Wireless Communication Device Policy. Many students received smart watches as presents over winter break, and I believe some families may have forgotten that these watches fall under the Wireless Device Policy. According to the policy, any student with a wireless device on campus must have a contract on file at the school. Wireless devices must be out of sight during the school day. The best way to accomplish this is to have them either in the backpack (off/silenced) or at home. Please know that I have not authorized student use of personal wireless devices at any time during the school day. I have linked a copy of the policy and the discipline measures for non-compliance above. Your assistance in this matter is greatly appreciated and I thank you for your continued support and partnership.
That's it for this week. Next week be looking for your child's progress report on Thursday. Have a wonderful weekend and I'll see you Monday in the car loop!
Sincerely,
Mrs. Fleeger
