Principal Message

Stevenson Families,

What an incredible Literacy Week we've had with the theme of Building Literacy! Our students had a fantastic time making bookmarks and books, reading with buddies, and enjoying stories under flashlights, in tents, and with blankets. The Literacy in the Arts Night was a huge success, showcasing projects that beautifully reflected our students' love for reading and art.

Today, our second-grade students shone brightly as they participated in an enrichment activity, transforming into famous historical figures. They were truly amazing and learned so much!

This Monday, we kicked off our new Clusters, and our tiniest Penguins have joined in the school-wide enrichment model. Penguin Palooza was an absolute blast, and Mrs. Wehrly and I had a great time in the Pie Eating contest.

Additionally, the Kids Heart Challenge is underway, and Coach Dwyer has been working with all classes to promote heart health and fitness.

Looking ahead, next Friday is a busy day! We have a volunteer meeting at 9:10 AM in the cafeteria. It's also a paid out-of-uniform day with a heart clothing theme, which is a perfect kickoff to Kindness Week. (Please click for more details on Kindness Week activities.)

We need some support from all of our families regarding safety. During arrival and dismissal, everyone must use the crosswalk by the red book box. This is the only crosswalk during dismissal and arrival times. Drivers know that this location is the active crosswalk and pay close attention to this area for pedestrians. All other areas are unsafe to cross during the arrival and dismissal times. Thank you for your support in keeping everyone safe.

That's it for this week. Have a wonderful weekend! I'll see you Monday in the car loop.

Sincerely,

Mrs. Fleeger
