Seniors Take the ASVAB

By Becca Brightwell

On November twenty-second, the ASVAB was held in the media center. Along with the stress of the test there was a lot of preparation for the exam. “I have been studying since the first day of school because the job I want in the military is Public Affairs,” said senior, Rebecca Brightwell, “it was nerve racking at first because my first time taking the ASVAB I did not study and still got an amazing score and people have told me that the score lowers every time you retake the test and I really want Public Affairs."

Brightwell’s approach on preparing for the ASVAB was to get the study book and take as many practice tests as she can, “I took the flash cards from the book and divide them by if I them right or wrong and then write down the ones I got wrong,” said Brightwell. At the end of the day, Brightwell was confident with taking the test, stayed calm, and trusted her instincts. “I trust myself but more importantly trust God to keep me calm during the test.” said senior, Brightwell.
