October is Bullying Prevention Month!
Challenge for this week: Talk to your students about bullying and cyberbullying. Ask them to tell you the definitions.
Free Before and after school academic access and tutoring begins on Monday, October 7. Morning tutoring is in the media center from 7:30-8:30am. Afternoon tutoring is in room 405 from 4:30-5:30pm.
Once again, Stone's esports Fortnite team is UNDEFEATED! As they competed against a team in North Carolina! Great job, guys!!!
The Positive Behavioral Interventions and Support (PBIS) store hosted using MINGA points held its 2nd day of operations. Mrs. Shaw, Mrs. Mugge, Ms. Alexander, and our new social worker, Alyssa Jiminez, have reorganized shelves, stocked prize carts, scanned and shopped with kids for our store. Here are some highlights to share with you:

140 prize purchases were made
9/27/24 Day 2 (points were increased as needed for some prize values)

Our next MINGA store dates will be Oct. 11th and then again October 18th
Congratulations to our boys basketball team who had an outstanding win against Johnson tonight! This was the last game of the regular season. Join us on Tuesday when they play against Kennedy in the playoffs.

The Stone Halloween dance will be on Friday, October 25 from 3:00-5:30pm. The cost of a ticket is $10 and includes free food and drink all night! Tickets will be sold on 10/23 and 10/24 and will be available at the door. Permission slips are required to purchase a ticket.
All are welcome to join us for the Stone School Advisory Council Meeting on Wednesday, October 2 at 5pm in the Media Center Conference Room.

Stone girls played hard for their last game of the season tonight. Stone boys pulled out a win against Hoover. In a great show of comradeship, the cheer and dance teams from both schools danced together. Great job to all involved!
